Overview

In 2025 The Continuum Project advanced its mission to address harmful sexual behaviour and promote respectful relationships in Australian schools. The project completed its initial research phase, confirming that schools remain stretched and often inadequately equipped to respond to increasing reports of peer perpetrated harmful sexual behaviour. Key findings highlighted that most policies focus on adults as perpetrators, leaving significant gaps in whole-of-school approaches and teacher training. The Continuum Project is working on a comprehensive, multi-stage initiative with three core streams: facilitated respectful relationships conversations with students and school communities; a co-designed Rights, Obligations & Accountability Framework; and a co-designed restorative justice model developed in partnership with RMIT. The Continuum Project is laying the foundations for safer schools, healthier masculinities, and stronger communities across Australia.
