Overview

Initial funding towards finding a cure or treatment for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) commenced in 2009 at ANZAC Institute with our connection to Professor Garth Nicholson and later Dr Nick Cole. Since 2013 the research has been running out of Macquarie University and today is led by Dr Angela Laird and Dr March Morsch at the Macquarie University Centre of Motor Neurone Disease Research. Their research uses zebrafish to understand how how MND occurs and to test potential therapeutics that may ultimately treat the disease.
