Dr Anne Summers and the University of Technology Sydney

Throughout 2025 Dr Anne Summers AO and the UTS Business School team have worked with a dedicated advisory to scope and develop a landmark Longitudinal Study on Intimate Partner Violence. The project’s diverse advisory includes Indigenous experts, academic advisors, government representatives, and frontline organisations. Key milestones included extensive stakeholder consultation, the endorsement of a separate, Indigenous led survey, and the refinement of methodology to ensure safety, cultural relevance, and collection of data not previously captured. The the study represents an essential investment in Australia’s future. By establishing a robust, safe and culturally informed national evidence base, the project provides insight to guide governments, service systems, and funders — informing effective prevention, strengthening intervention, and enabling lasting systemic change.
