Panel interview starts at 7:00

The Canberra Foundations Collaborative hosted a Leadership Seminar on November 14th 2023, welcoming over 40 community organisation leaders, influencers, and dedicated volunteers. The seminar aimed at highlighting the importance of effective leadership and coordinating a group of people toward a common goal.

The key goals of this gathering were to give aspiring leaders practical advice on how to make that jump from ‘lieutenant to captain’ as Glenda Stevens put it, and to give current leaders insights on how to become better leaders.

The Snow Foundation is proud to join forces with Hands Across Canberra and the John James Foundation to bring this type of event to our community, and with the success of the three capacity building seminars in 2023 (below), we hope to continue them moving forward!

Marketing Seminar

Why and How community organisations can deliver their message to the right place. Facilitated by Hannah Andrevski from Roundabout Canberra and leveraging the expertise of Emmanuel Rodriguez from Hands Across Canberra, Melissa Evans from Capital Airport Group, Timothy Fulton from Swell Design Group, and Chris Wagner from Talkforce Media.

The Canberra Foundations Collaborative hosted a Marketing Seminar on the 8th of August 2023, welcoming over 50 community organisation leaders, influencers, and dedicated volunteers. The seminar aimed at highlighting the importance of effective marketing and equipping attendees with strategies to bolster their outreach and impact.

One of the key goals of this gathering was to outline why Marketing is essential, as it ensures they can reach their intended audience, resulting in a deeper and more tangible impact in the community. The event successfully provided partners with not just the ‘why’ but also the ‘how’ of refining their marketing strategies.

Grant Writing Seminar

How community organisations can effectively communicate their value offering to improve their chances of receiving funding. Facilitated by Krishna Shukla from Hands Across Canberra and leveraging the expertise of Nathalie Maconachie from the John James Foundation, Petr Adámek from Canberra Innovation Network, Sherry Sullivan from ActewAGL, and Craig Fairweather from The Mill House Ventures.

The Canberra Foundations Collaborative hosted a Grant Writing Seminar on the 28th of February 2023, welcoming over 60 community organisation leaders, influencers, and dedicated volunteers. The seminar aimed at emphasising the importance of communicating an organisations value offering against a set of criteria.

This ability not only underpins how much funding an organisation might receive, but the ability to identify and communicate the value each organisation is offering has the potential to flow into other areas of business operations, such as the Marketing efforts specified above.

This was the first seminar of its kind for the Canberra Foundations Collaborative and the Snow Foundation is proud to join forces with Hands Across Canberra and the John James Foundation to bring this type of event to our community.
