Canberra foundations unite against COVID-19. $500k in grants for local charities

2 April 2020

We are excited to announce a collective Canberra Rapid Response COVID-19 Grant Round together with partners Hands Across Canberra and John James Foundation to distribute an initial $500,000 to local non-profit organisations in the Canberra region who are affected by the impact of COVID-19.

This is in response to community organisations grappling with adjusting to new work environments for the safety of staff and volunteers, dealing with a surge in demand for their services along with reduced fund-raising opportunities.  This rapid-response grant round is for small grants ranging mostly from $1,000 to $15,000 with some up to $25,000 and closes on 10 April

For our community partners outside the Canberra region, we will be in touch to see how we can best support you through this challenging time.

The Canberra Rapid Response COVID-19 Grant Round is administered through the Hands Across Canberra grants program, you can find guidelines, criteria and the application here.
