Who is eligible?
Individuals and charitable organisations can be considered for a grant from the Snow Foundation.
What is the focus of the funding?
To receive funding, the program or project needs to be based in Canberra or the surrounding region. In addition, it requires a focus in one of these three areas:
- social welfare
- health
- education & life-skills
Funding considerations?
We help with the funding of a specific program, project, treatment or equipment. We are also open to provide seed funding. We do not give ‘blanket’ donations or provide sponsorship.
For individuals, we focus on providing support for equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers rather than vehicles as generally the cost is too great.
How much do we fund?
The size of donations varies greatly and can be as little as a few hundred dollars to more substantial sums for programs that affect a large number of people.
The majority of our donations are between $1,000-$20,000 annually. We have a small portion between $20,000 to $50,000 and just a few that are over $50,000+.
How long do we fund for?
This varies. We will fund for one year as a one-off or make longer-term commitments of 2-4 years.
In addition we have a number of long-term relationships, some over 10 years with community organisations we have grown to know and trust.
